What are the Causes of Vaginal Yeast Infection?

When a fungus called candida overgrow, it can cause a yeast infection. Candida is present in the mouth, throat, gut, penis, and vagina.

Other causes of vaginal yeast infection can be associated with are the use of certain antibiotics, pregnancy, uncontrol diabetes, a weak immune system, stress, or hormonal imbalance.

 

What are the Common Symptoms of Vaginal Yeast Infection:

  • Soreness
  • Pain during urinating
  • Abnormal vaginal discharge (Usually Thick, white, cheesy)
  • Redness and swelling
  • Rash

 

How is Vaginal Yeast Infection Diagnosed and Treated?

Your doctor may take a sample of your discharge to confirm the yeast infection. In most cases, you will be prescribed oral or topical antifungal medications.

  2. Back and forth transmission.
  3. Having a weakened immune system
